I don't know, I've been trying to do some soul-searching these days. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and my time.
I don't know. Really, what I'd like to do is start a small business for the pictures/video montages, I do. But I know NOTHING about anything business related. So yeah if anyone wants to be a business partner who helps me with websites, deals with customers, and just helps me get this idea off the ground...I'm game! Seriously, I'll totally send someone a sample of what I've done. Hey Angie! This should be something that we do...and we'd get business cards with our ROCKETMAIL address on it! Haha!! YES!
I'm also in the process of learning how to do this whole couponing thing and I have to say that from time to time, I find myself almost enjoying myself. It would just be nice if I could work some couponing magic to get a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff for ...not a couple hundred dollars. When I first started trying to looking to couponing, I didn't understand. But after a couple episodes of Extreme Couponing, I realized HOW people are doing it. But not only do we not have a basement that we could solely dedicate to being out own personal grocery store (or a hole in the wall that I can hoard my coupons), but that's not close to the the life I want to lead. So I asked Stephen if I figured out a way that we could get a bunch of stuff for free, if he'd be opposed to me donating to a local shelter of sorts (be it a women's or homeless shelter). While I'm not trying to save the world, I would like to show my kids that it's possible to help out someone else even if you're not totally rich. Moving to Raleigh, I think has been a good thing for our family for many reasons; one of them being that there seems to be no shortage of people standing on street corners. I'm sure that you're confused that I just "celebrated" that. But more that while, I don't exactly want the kids to grow up in a Downtown D.C. type environment, I don't want them to be COMPLETELY naive to social issues. Since moving down here, Stephen and I have started trying to leave the house with some small food-type stuff (fruit, bottled water, etc.) that we can pass out should we come across someone who might benefit from it. Preston's really gotten into it and the first thing he asks is if we've brought anything.
I don't know, my problem is that I'm having trouble making friends down here. It's hard when I don't have tons of spare time to go to places. I've signed up for various networking groups (Deaf Night Out, Zumba Fitness, Triangle LGBT Game night) But I'm running into two problems with this...A) Zumba is $5/week, or B) Raleigh DNO and Game Nights happen on Fridays around 7...it's one of the few nights that Stephen's home and we can hang out. I've meet some of Stephen's coworkers and we've made tentative plans to hang out, have a girls' night out, whatever...but it's just hard to schedule things during the day (when they work) or at night (when Stephen and I hang out)...SIGH...
I wish one of my best friends were here. They don't really care if the breakfast dishes are still in the sink, or that my clean laundry is the basket in the hall. (Shrug) Best friends are so rare, and I try very hard to keep the relationships going. But it's so hard with all of us being in separate time zones...

:( I wish we were in the same area.
