Stepping back into the blogging world

Hello Fellow Bloggers! (Caitlin) It's me, again. Haha, I figured that since I was due to spend the next month down there for the most part by myself. I decided that it was time to once again express my thoughts about this and that via the blog.

I'm staying up late because Preston woke up complaining about being hot. When I felt around his cheecks and forehead he felt like he had a fever. (Great!) So hopefully he'll feel better once the medicine kicks in. Also, he's complaining about a sore throat. This is EXACTLY the situation you want to have to deal with just after moving and you haven't had a chance to talk to the new doctors that you had just found. (Sigh)

I'm watching a show called Transamerican Love Story. It's just the Bachelorette but with a transwoman. I have to say that I'm not usually one for this type of reality show but I'm really sucked into it. The first episode one of the guy contestants came out during a one-on-one (with Calpernia, the bachelorette) and told her that he, himself, is a transman. So I'm really interested in how she's going to deal with this as the show goes on. I mean, what if she can't deal with this? Not that she HAS to deal with is just because she's transgender. But still...I guess to some degree, if she couldn't handle it, wouldn't it make her a hypocrite? Having started watching this show, I realize how many things I take for granted. I mean, Calpernia didn't always have the confidence that she always did now. She wasn't born with the knowledge that this is who she is, while that's something that I've always known from day one. Yes, Minita is a female. Not that I'm saying it matters what gender a person is on the our or inside. It's more that I don't really think that people understand how "easy" they have it. They don't have to wake up in the morning; stuff and tuck away physical parts of their body that do not meet who they know themselves to be...wow.
